Printing process of the camping gas cartridge

The camping gas cartridges of Bluefire have two methods for printing process.

1. Use flat printing to print the artwork on a flat tinplate, then cut out circular pieces, and stretch them into the can body.
2. Use intaglio printing to print the artwork on a plastic film to make a sleeve, and then heat-shrink the sleeve onto the can body.

Method 1:

As shown in the figure below, we need to transform the OEM artwork on the left side into a radial circular shape on the right side.

Next, the artwork is printed on the tinplate, then punching shear into a round shape, and finally stretched to form the can body.

Method 2:

As shown in the figure below, print the rectangular artwork on the plastic film to make a sleeve.

Then, insert the sleeve onto the cartridge, heat it in the oven, and then the cartridge finished.

Comparison of the two processes:

1. The flat printing process is simple and has a lower cost. However, it cannot accommodate a large amount of text, and the stretching process will cause the text and patterns to deform.
2. The heat shrink sleeve is slightly more expensive and the process is more complex. Because the body of the can using the heat shrink sleeve still needs to be printed with a base color by the flat printing method. The advantage is that the text and patterns do not deform, and the glossiness is very good, but its market usage rate is relatively low.
