Our Refrigerant Cap for canisters with valve stems and threaded outlets has been designed to provide the perfect protection while the canisters are being stored in your workshop or being carried to and from sites. Impact, contamination of threads, collecting of debris and worst of all accidental release while in your workshop of aerosol held in the valve stem of the canister is prevented by our protective cap.

A variety of cap sizes and thread patterns are available for use with single-layer and double-layer refrigerant aerosol valves. Q1: What sizes are available for the Bluefire refrigerant cap?

A: What size of chimney connector will fit on standard aerosol valve stems? We have several sizes of connectors designed to fit on valve stems. These include sizes that fit on 7/16’-28 UNEF threads, on 1/2’-16 ACME threads, and on general 1” mounting cup rim dimensions.

 

Q2: How does the cap contribute to EN417 compliance?

A: In addition to containing pressurized gas, the outer cap of the valve is a secondary mechanical part and thus a protection for external forces on the stem of the valve. Complete canister packages can be supplied for transport in conformity with EN417 safety requirements.

 

Q3: Can the caps for these cans be color coded for the different types of refrigerant in the cans?

OEM cans with special dimensions   For the special requirements of our customers, we can customize special-sized cans. The diameters of the 230g and 450g camping gas cartridges are 106mm. A can was customized with a diameter of 100mm for a UK customer. If you need cans with specific diameter or height, we have professional engineers who can design and manufacture it for you. The diameter of the refrigerant cans is usually 66mm and 73mm. Special height can be customized for you. For example, the height of a 66mm can could be from 120mm to 240mm. Our advantage is our good technical capabilities and short R&D cycle. OEM valve with special thread/tube   ­The thread specifications for our female valves are usually 7/16’-28 and 1/2’-16 acme. We have ordered many special threads for customers, such as 3/8’-24, 7/16’-28, etc., and both right-hand and left-hand threads can be produced. If you require a specific thread specification, Bluefire is the optimal choice. ­The female threaded valve can also be equipped with a pipe.
